The item CANARY OB (Aulonocara sp.) refers to a type of African cichlid, specifically a Peacock Cichlid variant from Lake Malawi. Here’s a product description suitable for aquarium or pet trade contexts:

Canary OB Peacock Cichlid (Aulonocara sp.)

Common Name: Canary OB

Scientific Name: Aulonocara sp.

Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa

Temperament: Semi-aggressive

Adult Size: 4–6 inches (10–15 cm)

Tank Size: Minimum 55 gallons

Diet: Omnivore (high-quality cichlid pellets, frozen/live food)

Description:

The Canary OB Peacock Cichlid is a vibrant, selectively bred variant of the Aulonocara species, known for its bright yellow coloration mixed with black marbling (OB = Orange Blotch). Each fish features a unique pattern, making them especially attractive in display tanks. Males typically exhibit more vivid colors, while females may have subtler tones.

Behavior & Care:

Peacocks are active and territorial, especially males. Provide plenty of rocks, caves, and hiding spots to reduce aggression. Best kept with other Malawi cichlids of similar size and temperament. Maintain stable water conditions with a pH of 7.8–8.6 and temperature between 76–82°F (24–28°C).

Note: This is a tank-bred hybrid and not found in the wild. Avoid crossbreeding with other Aulonocara to preserve color purity.
